User Programming
To start programming the Hawk-eye the user must:
1) Turn off external switch.
2) Open front door of monitor.
3) Precede to program the unit for your particular features.
There are three push buttons which are used to program the different functions of the monitor.
They are: "B" - "F" - "M" and are abbreviations for "Backward", "Forward" and "Mode" respectively.
There are eleven programmable modes of operation. They are:
1) EVENT REVIEW
2) EVENT CLEAR
3) DAY and TIME SET
4) EVENT and CAMERA ACTIVATION PERIOD
5) EVENT and CAMERA DELAY
6) CAMCORDER RUN TIME (not used in the 35mm version)
7) CAMERA REPEAT
8) DAY DELAY
9) WALK AROUND TEST
10) BATTERY TEST
11) PROGRAMMING COMPLETE, DIGITS OFF.
STEP-BY-STEP PROGRAMMING PROCEDURES
Note: To enter into the programming mode or to by-pass a Mode simply depress "M" push button.
MODE 1 = EVENT REVIEW:
a) Depress "M". "-01-" displayed.
b) Press "F". Display will show total number of stored events.
c) Press "F". Display will show Event 0001 with direction indicator.
d) Press "F". Display will show Day of Event, ie. "d-01".
d) Press "F". Display will show Hour of Event with AM/PM pointer.
f ) Continue to press "F" to step to next event(s).
g) Press "B". To back up to previous Event numbers.
h) Press "M". At any time to move to Mode 2.
MODE 2 = EVENT CLEAR:
a) "-02-" displayed.
b) Press "F". Event memory will be cleared.
c) "- - - -" displayed, This indicates no events stored in memory.
d) Press "M" to move to mode 3.
MODE 3 = DAY and TIME SET:
a) "-03-" displayed.
b) Press "F". Day Count will be shown.
Press "F" momentarily to advance count.
Press "B" to return to day count to "d-01".
c) Press "M". Hour and Minute Count will be shown with AM/PM
d) Press "M". Hour Count will be shown.
Press "F" momentarily to advance count.
Press "B" to return hour count to "12.".
f) Press "M". Minute Count will be shown.
Press "F" momentarily to advance count.
Press "B" to return minute count to "00".
g) Press "M" to move to mode 4.
MODE 4 = EVENT and CAMERA ACTIVATION PERIOD:
a) "-04-" displayed.
b) Press "F". "-A-", "-P-" or "-24-" will be shown.
-A- = Monitor active only during daylight hours.
-P- = Monitor active only during nighttime hours.
24 = Monitor active around the clock, 24 hours.
c) Press "F" momentarily to correct activation period.
d) Press "M" to move to mode 5.
MODE 5 = EVENT and CAMERA DELAY:
a) "-05-" displayed.
b) Press "F". Delay in minutes will be shown. 01 - 60 minutes.
c) Press "F" momentarily to advance delay time.
d) Press "B" momentarily to retard delay time.
e) Press "M" to move to mode 6.
MODE 6 = CAMCORDER RUN TIME:
a) "-06-" displayed.
b) Press "M" to go directly to mode 7, or continue to step c.
c) Press "F". Run time in minutes will be shown. 00 - 60 minutes.
d) Press "F" momentarily to correct run time.
e) Press "M" to move to mode 7.
MODE 7 = CAMERA REPEAT:
a) "-07-" displayed.
b) Press "F". Delay time in seconds will be shown. 00 - 60 sec.
c) Press "F" momentarily to advance delay by 10 seconds.
d) Press "B" momentarily to retard delay by 10 seconds.
e) "-00-" = Camera Repeat is turned off. No camera repeat.
f ) Press "M" to move to mode 8.
MODE 8 = DAY DELAY:
a) "-08-" displayed.
b) Press "F". Delay time in days will be shown. 00 - 08 days.
c) Press "F" momentarily to advance delay by 1 day.
d) Press "B" momentarily to retard delay by 1 day.
e) "-00-" = Day Delay is turned off. No day delay.
f ) To conserve battery life the number of days in this mode should be limited.
g) Press "M" to move to mode 9.
MODE 9 = WALK AROUND TEST:
a) "-09-" displayed.
b) Press "F" to activate test mode. Display to show "1111".
"1111" = indicates Walk Around Test is activate.
"0000" = indicates Walk Around Test is deactivated.
c) Close door of monitor for proper positioning of infrared beam.
d) When test is completed open door to monitor.
e) Press "F" to deactivate test mode. Display to show "0000".
f ) Press "M" to move to mode 10.
MODE 10 = BATTERY TEST:
a) "-10-" displayed.
b) Press "F". Display will show "good" or "bad".
c) Press "M" to move to mode 11.
MODE 11 = PROGRAMMING COMPLETE, LED DISPLAY DIGITS OFF:
a) "OFF" displayed.
b) Press "M" to exit programming mode and turn off display.
Programming complete
1) Close front door of monitor.
2) Turn on external switch.
As soon as the external switch is turned on the camera will be deactivated for a period of 5 minutes.
Thus providing time to clear the area.
Factory Preprogram:
When received, the Hawk-eye will be preprogrammed for 24 hour activation and a delay between pictures of 20 minutes.
