POWER-UP:
On battery installation the Status LED will flash 4 times, this indicates
that the microprocessor has completed it's self program routine. It is recommended,
after battery installation, that the Feed push button be depressed. See Self
Program Below.
SELF PROGRAM:
An automatic function of the DAY II Timer. The unit automatically programs
itself to feed for 8 seconds at daybreak and one hour before nightfall. The
timer will self program on power-up (see above) or manually by use of the
Feed push button. Simply hold the Feed push button down until the Status LED
turns on. Upon release of the push button, the LED will flash 3 times.
PROGRAMMING ADDITIONAL FEED TIMES:
To go into the AM programming mode, depress the AM button until the Status
LED turns on. In this mode there are 6 programmable time slots which may be
programmed. They are, at daybreak and 5 additional times spaced at 30 minute
intervals after daybreak. That is, at daybreak, +30 minutes, +1 hour, +1 1/2
hours, + 2 hours, and + 2 1/2 hours.
In the following paragraphs, the AM and FEED push buttons should only be
pressed when the Time Slot LED is NOT blinking…
Release the AM button after the Status LED turns on. Press-release AM button.
The Time Slot LED will blink once every 4 seconds. One blink represents the
first time slot. To program the time slot for feeding, press and release the
Feed button. Note that whenever the Status LED is ON, the Time Slot is active.
Press-release the AM button the second time and note that the Time Slot LED
will blink twice every 4 seconds. Depress the Feed push button to toggle the
feed slot on or off. To exit the AM program mode, press the AM push button
until the Time Slot LED remains off or wait for a 10 second period of inactivity.
REVIEW OF AM FEEDING TIMES:
To review the AM reading times, depress the AM push button until the Status
LED turns on. Press-release the AM button. The Time Slot LED will blink the
number of times representing the time slot being reviewed. Continue to depress
the AM push button during the off time of the Time Slot LED until all the
time slots have been reviewed. Any feed slot can be changed by depressing
the Feed push button, thus turning on or off the Status LED. To exit the AM
review mode, press the AM push button until the Time Slot LED remains off
or wait for a 10 second period.

1/2 hours, -2 hours, and -2 1/2 hours.

button. The Time Slot LED will blink once every 4 seconds. One blink represents
the first time slot. To program the time slot for feeding, press-release the
Feed button. Note that whenever the Status LED is ON, the time slot is active.
Press-release the PM button the second time and note that the Time Slot LED
will blink every 4 seconds. Depress the Feed push button to toggle the feed
slot on or off. To exit the PM program mode, press the PM push button until
Time Slot LED remains off or wait for a 10 second period of inactivity.
REVIEW OF PM FEEDING TIMES:
To review the PM feeding times, depress the PM push button until the Status
LED turns on. Press-release the PM button, note that the Time Slot LED will
blink the number of times representing the time slot being reviewed. Continue
to depress the PM push button during the off time of the Time Slot LED until
all the time slots have been reviewed. Any feed slot can be changed by depressing
the Feed push button, thus turning on or off the Status LED. To exit the PM
review mode, press the PM push button until the Time Slot LED remains off
or wait for a 10 second period.
TEST:
To test the motor run time, simply press-release the Test push button. The
Status LED will turn on. It will remain on during the 10 second delay and
motor run time. The motor will run for the length of time previously programmed.
MOTOR RUN TIME:
The motor run time may be anywhere between 1 to 45 seconds and is programmed
in one second steps. To change the motor run time, press the Run push button
until the Status LED turns on. Release button - Status LED turns off. Immediately
press-release the Run push button until the desired run time is programmed
into memory. The motor run time will increment from 1 second (not 0 seconds).
That is, by depressing the push button 4 times the motor will run for 5 seconds.
Note: The Status LED will illuminate
for every push of the Run push button. Pressing the Test push button will
verify the new run time. |
